Design: Length 8.9 cm, width 3.7 cm. On the right upper part of the front side, it reads "People's Republic of China Ministry of Grain - National Common Grain Ticket". Below the text is a pattern consisting of farmland, harvesters, and high-voltage transmission towers, reflecting the policy of balancing industry and agriculture. On the left side, from top to bottom, are the words "3" "THREE jin": "1966". The ticket surface is purple red, printed using offset printing technology, with fine lines. On the back, in green font, there is a usage instruction, and in the center is the "People's Republic of China Ministry of Grain" logo.
Background of issuance: In 1955, the State Council issued the "Interim Measures for Quantitative Supply of Grain in Cities and Towns", and the grain system was officially established. In 1966, the national common grain ticket was issued under this background as the third generation of national vouchers. It was issued during the early stage of the "Third Five-Year Plan", when the country was facing an important transition period in grain allocation and distribution.
Circulation and use: It is a ration certificate for obtaining food during the planned economy era. It can be used to purchase grain products and various types of grain within the country, according to the local grain regulations. The denomination is for finished grain. Residents can apply for it from the local grain department based on the number of family members and labor intensity, and when purchasing grain, a "money-ticket combination" is required.
